Hey Folks,
Well, I’m giving it up. I always said if writing weren’t fun, I’d find something else to do.
Turns out Dan and I and the grandson have decided to head east from here. We’ll build a tin-roof, two-and-a-half story super bungalow on the Texas plains and take over Hub and Garth McCann’s lives.
And the boy. You know. Whatever his name was.
Of course, we’ll need a lion, but I’m sure that can be arranged.
Yeah, I’m joking, and not very well. You knew that.
But seriously, I’m enjoying my time teetering on a flat above the Gila River so much, I’ve decided to give up writing.
Why write life when I can Live life? Why report the sillinesses of my characters in their stories when I can live those sillinesses myself?
What would it actually be like to rob a bank? I mean, I have my gun with me, and a bandanna.
For that matter, there are plenty of horses available for the stealing, and trains come through here regularly. Surely one of them carries the army payroll or something.
So why not become a train robber?
Can you think of a better way to spend April Fool’s Day?
No topic today. Writing that stuff up there taxed my widdle bwain.
No doubt Dan and Bryan and I spent the last evening star gazing and slathering philosophy far and wide.
