The Journal, Sunday, 1/22

Hey Folks,

A slightly different format from now on. I realized I was splitting the day into two sections. So one is gone. When necessary, this section will now be introduction and/or a topic.

Today, and Writing

Rolled out right at 2 despite a late (for me) night, sacking out at around 8:40. By 2:30 I was writing on the novel. Anxious much?

But I was in the house. So I transferred the slightly altered WIP to my thumb drive, gathered my stuff and headed to the Hovel, my primary fiction writing space. I was settled in by 2:50.

But I forgot to bring extra coffee. Poor plannning. So back to the house.

When I got to the house, the baby was up. I petted her a bit and catered to her while the coffee was making. Then back to the Hovel.

On my way back to the Hovel, the quarter moon was rising. Beautiful. Back to the house for my camera and the baby. I put the baby in the Hovel, then stepped out and got a shot of Miss Luna.

Back inside, the baby’s little heartrate was up. She wasn’t hunting, but freaking out over all the new stuff. (I’m pretty sure cats are autistic in that they have far fewer filters for incoming external stimulus than most of us do.)

She wanted to go back to the house, so I took her. All of that constituted a chunk out of my morning, but worth it all around.

So I got some exercise early and I can enjoy my morning cigar in peace with my friends in the novel. (grin)

I also had to check a few names and assignments on my reverse outline. Finally back to the novel at 4.

Right at 1000 words for the first session. 5 a.m., to the house for a brief break.

5:15, back to the novel.

6:10, a break. 6:20, nobody moving at the house yet, so back to the novel.

7 a.m., a break after a shortened session. I only added about 300 words during that abbreviated session.

7:30 back to the novel. A good session. At 8:30, time for another break.

8:45, back to the novel.

9:45, wrapping it for the day. A little farther to the end than I thought. (grin) That’s what I get for thinking. Even this close to the end, the characters continue to throw me left curves.

Of Interest

Not much at Dean’s place. Basically a filler post.

Yesterday, I took down the menu item on my website for the page about the closing of All Romance Ebooks and OmniLit. If you need information about that, check http://HarveyStanbrough.com/omnilitallromanc…ooks-are-closing/. If you want to check it later, save this URL.
