Hey Folks,
Another slow start today, basically doing almost nothing the first two-plus hours.
Also I was beginning to feel a little stalled on the novel. Which is silly. This thing is so rich for storylines and subplots that it isn’t even funny.
The difficult part (for me), especially as I write a novel that depends, in part, on characters and situation from an earlier novel is to remember to just have fun with it. I was reminded of that this morning when I read yet another novelist complaining about the actual physical pain she endures when writing novels. Seriously? (grin)
Anyway, melding the information from two novels (character names, situations, dates etc.) is serious, conscious-mind stuff. But the actual writing has to be fun or I’d mu-hu-hu-HUCH rather do something else. (grin)
Anyway, the story handed me a twist this morning, so it’s moving along fine again now.

Today, and Writing
Rolled out at 3. Did little or nothing for the first couple hours, then breakfast for the household (roughly half a ton of pancakes.
I finally turned to the novel at around 9. I worked on it, off and on, for almost 5 hours before calling it a day. A pretty good day.
Not only did the story hand me a twist, but about the time I addressed that one it handed me another one. I hope it continues racing along like this. (grin)
