Hey Folks,
Wow, announcement remorse, eh?
Yesterday I announced I plan to do a seminar and a workshop in the Phoenix and Tucson metro areas and in Cochise County Arizona.
I believe I was thinking out loud. When I read the announcement myself in the post, I finally got a clue.
If I do that, it will be in the future. Far enough in the future so I can set up a large venue and Fill It. Like a year from now.
Barring that, it isn’t really worth the time it would take me to write, compile and plan such an undertaking.
So all of that’s on hold for now.
In my spare time, I probably will develop the skeleton of the seminar and workshop for fun.
I probably will even flesh those out. At a minimum, I’ll end up with a nonfiction book or two out of it.
In the meantime, IF it still feels like a good idea, I’ll work behind the scenes with local and regional contacts to set date(s), explore venues, etc.
If/when all of that comes to pass, I’ll announce it here and in the big blog.
And my apology. That’s what I should have done in the first place.
I really want to get back into teaching what I know and helping writers who value my input.
But I don’t want to secure a venue that holds up to 500 people and then have maybe 8 show up. (grin)
In the meantime, I have another, less-aggressive and more-personal idea in mind. More on that when I finalize it.

Today is the last day of my promo. On Facebook, I offered one free ebook of the reader’s choice, no strings attached, during Read an Ebook Week (March 5 – 11).
Zero takers. Zero.
When something’s free, of course, that indicates to the reader it’s worth nothing. I guess. Now I’m thinking of increasing the prices on all my novels to trad pub prices. Maybe even a little higher than trad pub prices. (grin)
Today, and Writing
Rolled out at 3, albeit after a rough night. Oh well. That’s life, amiright? (Yeah, that really ought’a be one word for some characters.)
Got out to the Hovel around 7, remembered some admin stuff (the promo I mentioned above) and updated my note on Facebook. We’ll see.
7:30, to the novel. Just cycling, easy like, adding descriptions here and there. I have to run the kid in to work around 9:30 this morning, so I’m not in a rush to get into anything new.
11, Still just cycling. I feel good about this novel and certain I’ll finish it by the 15th.
Today I’m just playing, reading it, allowing myself to touch it as my subconscious mind adds what I omitted earlier.
Light day today. Just cycling, I added over 1400 words. It’s Saturday, so I’m gonna spend some time with the babies’ mama.
Tomorrow I’ll finish cycling at least, then play the rest of the day by ear, either off or writing new chapters.
