Hey Folks,
It’s going to be a great day. I scanned through an earlier novel and highlighted sections of it for information. I consider this research.
I gleaned characters, situations and places that will appear in the next novel. Unless something untoward happens today, I should have a good writing day.

Today, and Writing
Rolled out at 2:30, so I’m at least getting back to normal. By 3 I was going through an old novel, gleaning some bits of it. Finished that in about 2 hours, then took time off around 6 to make breakfast, etc. as everyone else was getting up.
After that I returned, sporadically, to browsing the earlier novel I mentioned. I found four characters or groups of characters that would serve to begin the next novel. Eventually I settled on a group, put my fingers on the keyboard and began typing whatever came.
The opening scene flew out of my subconscious and took off with itself. It felt wonderful.
A little over three hours of writing, and I was sa-MOKIN’ (for me) at around 1300 words per hour. (grin)
