Hey Folks,
Not much of a journal up here today. Everything’s in the “Today and Writing” and “Of Interest” sections.
Today, and Writing
Rolled out a 4. Didn’t get out to the Hovel until a little after 8. But at least I’m awake, showered, fed etc. and expecting a good day on the novel.
To the novel around 8:20. Cycling ’til around 9:30, a break, then writing/cycling ’til around 10:20, break to get some more tea.
Even when I’m writing straight through, I’m cycling as I go, probably about every 300-500 words or so. This is a very detailed, very convoluted story. One more testament to “every novel writes differently.”
10:50, back to the novel. 11:30, up to the house for a break, a few chores, set out water on the yard.
1 p.m., various crises averted and back to the novel for awhile.
Well, I wrote for about fifteen minutes. Then I checked my email, in which a guy forwarded me an email titled “I’m a useless old white guy.”
Of course, that fired me up (grin) so I wrote “Who Am I? Is That the Question?” and sent it back to him.
So a 420 or so word essay that I’m not counting because, you know. I also posted it as a Note on Facebook ’cause I’m nothing if not an open book.
2 p.m., off for a break. Looks like I won’t make my word count goal again today, but that’s all right. (grin)
2:40, back to the novel. Gonna get off here in about an hour to put a lasagna in the oven.
3:40, went to the house, put in the lasagna, and back to the novel at 3:48.
Well, I’m short again, but with everything that went on here today, I’m happy with it.
