Hey Folks,
Well, my Christmas Sale announcement posted today on the Pro Writers blog on my site. It will be interesting to see how many unsubscribes I get tomorrow. (grin)
Rolled out right at 3:30 this morning and went through the usual routine. Afterward, I took care of some last-minute Christmas shopping online. I love this new world.
However, despite the ready availability of goods and services via the Internet, I would still trade all that in less than a heartbeat for the days when schools were allowed to actually teach students, children could do non-electronic things without parental supervision (eat dirt, play outside all day, walk with a friend to a favorite fishing spot, etc.) and without the fear of some jerk kidnapping them or worse.
Sometimes (okay, often) I long for the day when someone will kick the plug out of the wall and let those who know how survive. These days that’s the stuff of fiction. Fortunately, I’m a fiction writer.

Oh, by the way, I’m backing this Journal up to post at 6 p.m. like it used to. Not sure why I moved it to 7. Even if I write later into the day like I did today, I still have time to get it out.

Today’s Writing
Got to the story a little after 9 a.m. I’m reading through the whole thing today, giving it the best possible chance to be all that it can be. Without joining the army. (grin)
Paused around noon to work on my 4-Runner a bit. Around 1, back to the story.
Well, try as I might, this story is sticking to one main event. It’s in novella range now, at least. I’ll finish it tomorrow, then write something to meet my short story goal for the week.
